classes

We offer a variety of classes throughout the year, some recurring and some only occasionally. We value learning and growing deeper in our faith and one way to do that is to study together. Here is a list of some of the classes we offer on a regular basis:

Regular Classes:

TCC 101: Intro to TCC

Register here for our class on March 12, 6:00-8:00pm.

Growing in our Faith: Spiritual Disciplines

This class focuses on some of the foundational practices of the faith that connect us with God.  Practices such as prayer, scripture study, connecting in community, and practicing good stewardship and Sabbath.  We'll also discuss practical ideas for putting the spiritual disciplines into our lives.  Even if you're already familiar with spiritual discipline, this is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other a bit better, as well as check in to see how TCC life is going for you.

Finding our Place of Service: Spiritual Gifts

The focus of this class is on TCC's vision and values regarding ministry and helps you to explore your place in our community.  We will look at how God can use your spiritual gifts, heart (passions), abilities, personality, and experiences to help others.  We will also explore how season of life issues factor in to ministry experience.  Whether you're already serving in ministry, or not sure how (or whether!) ministry fits into your life, this class will help us know how to support you better in your journey.

Living Missionally: Reconciliation, Redistribution, Relocation

Here we focus on practically living out our faith and mission in our community.  Intros class we will explore some key values we find in the gospel that shape our understanding of what it means to live as God's people in our community.  By the end of the class you will have a better understanding of why we engage in the ministries that we do at TCC (i.e. Inhabit, Exploit No More, BLAST, youth ministry, etc.) as well as how you can join the work that God is doing where you are.

Embracing the Beatitudes: Reconcilers & Peacemakers

In His sermon, Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" (Matthew 5:9, NSRV).  But what does it mean to be a peacemaker?  This class will explore what it means to live up to the gospel mandate of being peacemakers.

Our goal is to have all of our TCC church family go through thes classes so that we can have a common foundation from which we serve God together.
